Certified translation of your passport

Banks, consulates, and employers sometimes ask for a certified translation of a foreign passport's data page. We translate passports to or from Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, or Turkish with a signed certificate of accuracy — fast, since it's typically a single page. $10 per page.

// do you need a certified translation?

Does your passport need a certified translation?

Yes — if it's not already in the language the receiving party requires.

USCIS, courts, universities, and consulates require a complete, certified translation of any document not in their working language — every word, stamp, and seal — accompanied by the translator's signed certificate of accuracy. We translate your passport to or from Russian · Ukrainian · Spanish · Portuguese · Turkish.

// translate before or after the apostille?

We translate your passport — certified, accurate, and ready to file.

Certified translationNotarized translation

The order matters — and it depends which way the document is going.

Passports are personal identity documents and are not themselves apostilled. What people need is a certified translation of the data page (and any visa or stamp pages requested). For USCIS or a bank, the certified translation is the deliverable; no apostille applies to the passport itself.

// how it works

A certified translation in three steps.

01

Send us a scan

Email or upload a clear photo or scan of the full document — every page, including stamps and seals. Tell us the language and what it's for (USCIS, a court, a school, a consulate).

02

We translate & certify

A native speaker translates the document in full, then signs a certificate of accuracy stating the translation is complete and correct — the format USCIS and U.S. institutions require.

03

Ready to file

You receive the certified translation, ready to submit. Need the original apostilled for use abroad too? We coordinate that as a separate step through the apostille service.

// passport questions

Passport translation FAQ.

Do I translate the whole passport or just the data page?

Usually just the photo/data page, which is what banks and agencies ask for. If a specific visa, entry stamp, or page is required, tell us and we'll translate those too. It's priced per page.

Can the passport translation be notarized?

Yes — we can pair the certified translation with a notarized translator's statement when the requesting party asks for it. Many don't require it, so we'll confirm before adding the step.
