Certified translation of your driver's license
Exchanging a foreign license, renting a car abroad, or filing an insurance claim can require a certified translation of your driver's license. We translate licenses to or from Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, or Turkish with a signed certificate of accuracy — typically a quick one-page job. $10 per page.
// do you need a certified translation?
Does your driver's license need a certified translation?
Yes — if it's not already in the language the receiving party requires.
USCIS, courts, universities, and consulates require a complete, certified translation of any document not in their working language — every word, stamp, and seal — accompanied by the translator's signed certificate of accuracy. We translate your driver's license to or from Russian · Ukrainian · Spanish · Portuguese · Turkish.
// translate before or after the apostille?
We translate your driver's license — certified, accurate, and ready to file.
The order matters — and it depends which way the document is going.
A driver's license is a personal ID, not a public document that gets apostilled — what you need is a certified translation of the card. We translate both sides as needed and certify accuracy. (For a license exchange, a certified translation usually accompanies an international driving permit, which is issued separately in the home country.)

Send us a scan
Email or upload a clear photo or scan of the full document — every page, including stamps and seals. Tell us the language and what it's for (USCIS, a court, a school, a consulate).
We translate & certify
A native speaker translates the document in full, then signs a certificate of accuracy stating the translation is complete and correct — the format USCIS and U.S. institutions require.
Ready to file
You receive the certified translation, ready to submit. Need the original apostilled for use abroad too? We coordinate that as a separate step through the apostille service.

Driver's License translation FAQ.
Is a certified translation the same as an international driving permit?
No. An international driving permit (IDP) is issued by an authorized body in the license's home country. A certified translation simply renders your license into another language. Some authorities want one, some the other, some both — tell us the purpose and we'll clarify.
Do you translate the back of the license too?
Yes, if it carries information the requesting party needs (endorsements, restrictions). It's priced per page, and a license is typically a single page.
